  • 4-8 Sirloin or Turkey Burger Patties (Depending on if you eat 1 or 2 patties each)
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 1 Yellow Onion
  • 2 Avocados
  • 1 Head of Lettuce
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper


Preheat the grill. Lightly salt and pepper your meat. Grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes on each side.

Slice the onion into thin rings and put in a large cast iron skillet. De-seed and slice the bell peppers and add to the onions. Drizzle with 3-4 Tablespoons olive oil, depending on the size of your vegetables. Cook on high heat for about 8 minutes, until onions start to brown and the peppers soften. Add more olive oil while cooking if needed to prevent the skillet from getting dry.

Wash the lettuce and separate the leaves. Place 2-3 whole lettuce leaves on each of four plates.

Place burgers on top of the lettuce. Top burgers with avocado slices and vegetables.

Serves four.

  1. Looks good. (We would have skipped the turkey burgers.) Don’t you find that you enjoy food so much more not that you have eliminated the processed food?
